As mentioned in a previous post on the Hewlett Packard 34702A Multimeter module, I have been looking for a 34740A display module to pair with it. I was lucky to find a module that was in a good cosmetic condition and untested for a reasonable price.
Building a new interface board for use with Newhaven Display “Slim OLED Character Displays” using an I2C interface, with extras.
When I purchased my HP 34750A Display module, it came with a somewhat beat-up 34702A Multimeter module. I was mainly interested in the display module to pair up with my existing HP 34703A module, but this is also an interesting module worthy of further exploration.

I decided to build an ASCII VT100 video terminal to go with my Tauntek logic IC tester.
I came across “Geoff’s Projects” website where he describes an ASCII VT100 compatible video terminal that he built back in 2014. Since then several people have published updated versions of the video terminal with different features. I decided to check out an updated kit by Peter Hizalev.
I just finished a popular kit project used for testing 7400 series, and some 4000 series logic IC’s. It was recently featured in CuriousMarc’s YouTube channel titled “Viewer-designed, Tauntek TTL IC tester!”.
